WHAT IS PRESERVED FLOWER
“Preserved Flower”, also known under different names such as “immortalized flower” and “naturalized flower”, was introduced in France in 1991.
Thanks to the advanced technology, a liquid mixture made by glycerine, which gives plants a fresh, natural and long lasting nature, replaces the flowers’ botanicals sap. The flowers are then preserved when they are at the most beautiful moment. They are absolutely the real flowers. The only difference between preserved flowers and fresh flowers is that you don’t need to plant or water them while they can last for two to three years.
HOW TO KEEP
Preserved flowers and foliage are real plants. In order to protect their beauty and charm, some precautionary measures should be taken:
- Keep away from humidity, in a dry place, do not add water.
- Avoiding exposure to direct sunlight to prevent premature fading.
- Keep away from clothes or any fabrics that may be stained easily.
- Exposure to damp or humidity can cause the products to “leech” colour, when the dampness in the air mixes with the glycerine used in the preservation process. This can result in what appears to be coloured liquid appearing on the surface of the preserved material. The liquid can be removed carefully with a dry cloth. If the liquid falls onto other surfaces and staining occurs, it can be removed by cleaning the surface with a damp cloth (in the case of staining of material, only clean with warm water).
